Never ever got round to going -is the grub/entertainment any good?
mmaaarrrkkk
I assume you mean the hotel and its cafe.

they're ok but this is pattaya. Many places do much better than ok. They try with their foam parties and buffets but too expensive for FL ; thus no punters and fun.

More of a family sort of place.

I rolled through there once a few years ago and was turned off by the food and alcohol costs. I think a Heineken is about 150 baht per bottle.

Depending on what you order, the food can be OK. It's all horribly expensive, though. A little tiny mug of beer can be 150 baht. A sandwich can be 300-400 baht. Some items are even more. In short, you could drop in for lunch, have a few beers, and end up spending almost 1000 baht.

Popped in there a few months ago to check out the band, i don't know why, but i ordered a bottle of San-Mig. it was just short of 300 Baht and the band were below average. 1st and last visit for me.

The one in Pattaya is crap, the one in BKK makes for a good night out.

Now that is what I call a rip-off.

If you want that sort of thing, (falang food etc) I'd suggest Gullivers instead. (still not cheap)

I don't think they do San Mig as I have to drink Singha in there which is about 120 or there abouts.
I think you may have been given Corona which 300bht in there is dear but not far off.

Everything has it's price, but IMHO it's a bit of a rort, they also charge VAT and services costs on top of the prices on display, not impressed. party.gif

My G/F worked for Hard Rock in the USA just up until our last trip to LOS in March. We stopped in just for a bite and to check out the band. The menu was almost exactly the same (as would be expected in a franchise) and the prices, if converted to US$ are almost exactly the same as they are in CT and FL. As stated above, the band ain't all that wonderful. On top of that, the food is not all that great to begin with so I would give it a miss...

All in all, it's a major tourist trap. A nitro can of Guinness set me back nine US dollars if I remember correctly.
BigDUSA
Mediocre food at a high price.
LTGTR
Actually,Hard Rock prices in the US are below what you find at HR in other countries, foodwise.
aussie_franko
From my experience the Hard Rock is the only place in Pattaya where i have chucked my guts up after eating there.
