Well that is surprising to me. I knew that there was only two negatives, but I never would have thought that I was running out of positives at 10. I guess that I gave more than I thought. The 2 negs were usually enough, with the exception of the every once in a while topic. I wished I had more for the guy that posted about anti semitism not long ago. What a jerk.I've just doubled it to 20+ and 4-.

YesSo are there some other limitations or is it just plain discrimination with certain members?

Rep systems on any boards are not a very good idea. They can be used to create the myth that one member is some how not as reputable as another. All it takes is 3 -4 people to disagree with you on this board and at 4 negative votes a day your rep could be down the drain in a week or so,that is already happening to Gabor. He has at least 3 people who come on here everyday and give him all their negative votes. I have one fool who marks me down everyday now with 4 negatives because I disagreed with him so I have been doing the same for him.I think rep systems should be abolished on forums as they are frankly a joke.
I agree with you, but we had that debate a bit before you joined and it appears that it is the minority view.

Incidentally, could you tell me how you know who is marking you down, please? I'd love to see who is giving the + and -.

Oh well. I guess the majority has decided. I would still get rid of the negative vote though as that is being abused and keep the positive. I pm'd you about your question.

I voted to use the votes.... and I still think this is a good thing, despite of the witch hunt against me... IMO better to get 100 negative votes, than to get no any votes... A member with 100 negative votes will get more attention, than a member with zero votes... any votes shows some level of interest... good or bad, but attention... shows, the member 's posts create emotions.... create attention... I would be unhappy with zero votes.... my high negative votes just prove my ironic banter with the secretologist pray commando hunting on me... They only prove my statement... no more, no less...
My only concern is why the neutral members are so frugal with the positive votes... Not about me, but overall... ( OK.. I know, the anger feel more motivational ... but anyway... )

My personal advice Gabor:now it is noon and I have 5...
Stop talking about score & vote; Stop using words like "conspiracy" or "secretxxx"
and I bet that your reputation score will stop its high/low/high/low...

After viewing my profile and clicking the reputation option, the conclusion I have drawn is that I have recieved 8 total votes based on my 13 prior posts, with the net result being a negative -1 reputation total.
Yet I cannot see who made these votes unfortunately which is a disappointment, furthermore It appears that I can only recieve votes but cannot cast any ?

You'll be able to vote after you've been here a while and posted more.
New menbers cannot vote to prevent vote stuffing.
Patience.

Jjprodigy, you can't really tell who gave you the votes. If you read this thread, you'll see voting is anonymous by design.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. I almost feel privileged.

MM i i read the whole thread prior to posting initially. It was the above post by Baht that confused me to believe the system of reputation points was not anonymous.
