Is the Sea View Room worth 700 baht more than the Me Room?

Is the ocean view very good? ( From photos posted, it seems that the hotel is quite a bit down Soi 10 and a fair distance from the sea??)

Any new buildings going up soon that can cause noise and obstruct the sea view?

Do all the Me rooms have balconies and how are their views?

Comments and opinions welcomed. Thanks! :)

'Have stayed in a seaview room and a seaview suite, and I liked them, BUT... There are other tall buildings closer to the beach than is SMS that kind of "frame" the view you'll have of the ocean. They don't block it, but rather sort of sit to either side of your direct line of sight. I'd say get the rooms on the highest floors possible, but they don't seem "finished" (or at least the ones I was shown - and they walked me around letting me choose from several). So my advice would be to do what I did if you can: when you check-in ask to see a few different available rooms with ocean views. Or, if you can abide staying somewhere else your first night, maybe take the time to have your viewing without actually already having committed yourself to staying there. (Not something I'd try in the high season; but the staff seems very amenable to letting you make a selection as long as they have vacancies.)

Oh, and there was some construction noise going on last time I stayed there. 'Sounded like carpentry work actually going on inside the hotel starting around mid-morning. Maybe finished by now - not all that loud and 'didn't really bother me that much.

Stayed in somewhat of a seaview room there in March, I was on the 3rd floor with my balcony facing the Beach, and paid for it as a Deluxe room. Like Tomcat said, if you wanted the view I'd stay on highest floor possible. On the lower floors its not really that much of a view, just a little bit. In a few months the hotel won't have a view as there's another hotel going up that will completely block it. I would just stay in a Deluxe room, facing the soi 10 side.

The room I had there looked out into one of the hallways on the new hotel next to it. (Can't remember the name).. Had a balcony but really no view. Did not mind that. My biggest complaints for the Sea Me Spring was that that the safe was to small for my laptop. (Normal size laptop) and the there was absolutely NO shade available at the pool. The pool is nice as you get a good view of the ocean but in May with the sun beating down it would have been nice to swim a little and then get in a little shade. Owned by the same group that owns, Sea Me Spring II, Sandy Spring on Soi 13 and some other Spring by Soi 1.

Some of the rooms on the top floors had no safes at all.
