Christmas is coming and the girls aren't getting fat.  Please try to give them an extra 100 baht.  If you haven't 100 baht, 50 will do.  If you haven't got 50, tough luck you!

It's about six weeks until Christmas and already the adverts for Christmas dinner are starting to appear.  Some early ones:

Untitled-1.thumb.jpg.a28a0fd6625eeb5b63d

The advert above right is for the Sportsman Pub & Restaurant.

The Hard Rock has two options:

Still more options for Christmas dinner:

Chik n Coop is a value-for-money (500 baht) ,  all-you-can-eat option for anyone interested in a U.S.-style Christmas dinner.

And if money isn't a concern,  here's a suggestion for Christmas Eve and Day from Casa Pascal on 2nd Road near The Avenue:

The buffet at the Mercure on Soi 15 is much cheaper, but I doubt it will be very Christmassy, more of an Xmas buffet.

Sunny's is a popular family restaurant on the Darkside.  Note that there's no turkey on the menu and the FB page confirms no turkey will be served.

Thanks for the research EP most recommendations look great but,

I stayed at Siam@Siam a while back.........There was a nightly Seafood buffet ........On which the Chinese, 'came down like a wolf on the fold' Won't be going there again.

As for Sunny's.......How something billed as a Christmas Buffet not have Turkey? ...Agreed some folks hate Turkey but let's have the option?

Yes, I've had the buffet at Big Fish at Siam@Siam and won't be repeating, either, for the reason you gave.  I'm not recommending all the restaurants in this thread, just listing options.

Sunny's gave the following explanation on its FB page for "no turkey.:"

Untitled-13.jpg

Untitled-133.jpg

It's a supply problem, but Sunny's is too negative about the frozen pre-cooked whole turkeys from Butterball.  If they are defrosted and reheated properly, they are actually quite good.  Pre-cooked whole turkeys shouldn't be confused with pre-cooked and sometimes sliced "turkey rolls," which are basically processed lunch meat.  I'd be furious if were served slices of turkey roll as part of a Christmas dinner and that apparently happened in some Pattaya restaurants last year.

And a few more suggestions:

Steak & Co on Soi Lengkee. Potatoes roasted with goose fat are great!

Steak.jpg.af0afd91b516e61d95e480cfd66022

The always popular Nicky's on Soi Buakhao, with pics of the Christmas desserts:

And for those looking for a fine-dining experience:

Capturevvv.JPG.7b72e402cb96828367af9719f

The prices are reasonable for a restaurant of Bruno's standard, considering pubs are charging around 1,000 baht for Christmas dinner.

Another more expensive option, The Point at the Dusit Thani:

The Hilton Resort Pattaya at Central Festival has a slew of options for the holidays.

The Hilton has a 12-page brochure (!) with all the details, in case you want more information.

This is the cheapest fixed plate option I've seen so far:

56928_n.jpg

Tequila Sunrise is on the corner of Jomtien Beach Road and Soi Chaiyaphruek, so it's a bit of a haul from central Pattaya.  Book early if you're interested; it's not a big place and I'm sure it will be sold out.

For those want a (sort-of) Christmas dinner but don't want to spend much, the Chunky Monkey on Soi Buakhao; the Seaside at the corner of Soi Chaiyapoon and 3rd Road; and the  Golden  Ferret at New Plaza might be options.

The first two are offering Xmas meals that don't include turkey or Christmas pudding. The Golden Ferret is offering  turkey and Christmas pudding. I've seen the pics of their menus on another board, but I don't want to rip off pics without permisson. Neither the Chunky Monkey nor the Seaside have Web sites or social media pages.

Here's  the text of the  Chunky Monkey sign:

"Monkey Gone Mad Christmas Dinner

NO TURKEY

Cream Of Tomato Soup,
 Prawn Cocktail  Bread Roll

Ham, Pork, Beef Or Chicken With Mash & Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Peas, Cauflower, Pig  in Blanket & Gravy

Trifle
Fresh Fruit and Ice-cream"

The main  course costs 199 baht, two courses cost 249 baht and three cost 299 baht.

The Seaside is offering four roast dinners (lamb, beef, pork, chicken). All include the choice of aspargus soup or prawn cocktail as a starter and one soft drink.  The lamb dinner is 370  baht; roast beef 290 baht; pork and chicken both 250  baht.  The sign doesn't  give a dessert option.

The  sign at the Golden Ferret reads:

"Christmas Day Dinner
Served 1.00 p.m. to  8.00 p.m.

Homemade  Minestroni Soup
or
Prawn Cocktail
100 baht

Roast Turkey, Cranberry  Sauce, Sage & Onion Stuffing
Chipolata, Brussel Sprouts, Buttered Carrots
Roast & Creamed Potatoes
495 baht

Christmas Pudding  with Brandy Sauce
or
Fresh Fruit Salad & Cream
150 baht

Mince pie
50 baht

Coffee & Mints
50 baht"

the Seaside at the corner of Soi Chaiyapoon and 3rd Road;

Has it moved.... seems only recently I was looking at The Seaside from a MP halfway down that same street.?

Sea Side

(It would make sense, nobody in a vehicle could get to it!)

I guess it has moved to Soi Chaiyapoon.  It's been years since I ate at the Sea Side and it used to be on the corner.

I hope nobody minds I add one....

Thank you for adding it.  All contributions are welcome.

A few more.  The Lion Pub on Soi Regional Land and El Greco (Greek and Mediterranean) Restaurant:

Untitled-31.jpg.25797511dac6620aaf75ef8c

Ah, I guess it is still in the middle then where I last saw it. Many years ago I used to occasionally go to the one on the alley running between Soi 7 Beach Rd and Klang, and there were 2 Sea Side venues for quite a while, but I started having concerns about hygiene there. It may well still be there and you certainly have not missed anything. :D  Great thread by the way.
